Racing Bulls go full Miami: VCARB drops a neon soaked, Summer Edition livery built to turn heads
The VCARB (Visa Cash App Racing Bulls) has officially traded its corporate blue for a shot of pure, high octane sunshine: the VCARB03 has been transformed into a “Summer Edition” masterpiece that captures the electric pulse of Miami’s neon nights and sweltering days. Everything from the marketing collateral to driver kits has been overhauled to match the theme. The teams has even released a “citrus” cap and a full line of Summer Edition replica merchandise ensuring the fans in the Miami stands can match the look of the car. While some might see it as just a marketing exercise, the team views it as a celebration of the “Summer” energy synonymous with the Miami race weekend. It’s a deliberate pivot toward a more fan focused, lifestyle oriented branding approach that distinguish VCARB from the grid’s more traditional manufacturers.
Consistent with the team’s history of high profile Miami reveals, this year’s launch was a multi-stage event. It began on the water, featuring a wakeboarder performing a backflip over the car while pulling off the cover mid-air. The reveal moved from the water a riverside venue, where the team, drivers and celebrity guests celebrated the design. This emphasises VCARBs focus on the “lifestyle” and “culture” side of Formula One (F1), positioning themselves as a team that is as much about entertainment as it about racing.
While the team focused on the “sudachi lime” yellow, the paddock and social media were dominated by something entirely different: the wheels. Fans were overwhelming fixated on the return on the return of white wheel covers. The response was immediate and intense with comments like, “Sweet baby Jesus, white wheel covers are back and I am 100% here for it” as well as “Those better stay, goddam it.” Photographers and media personnel have noted that in a field currently dominated by exposed carbon along with dark liveries, the contrast of the bright yellow bodywork against the stark white rims makes this the most “photogenic” car on the grid this weekend.
It could be argued that the VCARB03 “Summer Edition” livery is a masterclass in high energy brand storytelling but it highlights a growing rift in the F1 fanbase between those who love the “lifestyle” side of the sport and those who miss the “pure racing” aesthetic. This is easily the most “photogenic” livery on the grid this weekend. The “summer sun yellow” against the Miami blue sky and track side neon is stunning. It’s vibrant, unmistakably summery and it demands your attention in a way that the standard, dark carbon heavy liveries of the 2026 grid simply cannot.
✍ For them, this livery will shape the next chapter. For us, it's another reminder of how quickly fortunes can flip in this sport. If you've got a different read on their trajectory, drop it below - I'm curious where you think they go from here.
