Montreal charity scoops €100k F1 prize as Allwyn backs fight against food insecurity
The award is given to La Tablee des Chefs, a Montreal based charity focused on fighting food security, Formula One (F1) and Allwyn. Have announced that La Tablee des Chefs is named the first winner of the 2026 F1 Allwyn Global Community Award receiving €100,000 donation to expand its food recovery and community support programmes. The initiative is based in Montreal with the award presented at the Canadian Grand Prix with the charity’s work impacts communities across Montreal and wider Canada.
The organisation was selected for its proven impact, scalability along with alignment with the award’s pillars: sustainability, innovation, health and wellbeing, education as well as opportunity plus inclusion.
Ellen Jones, Head of ESG at F1 said: “The charity was able to demonstrate genuine innovation in how it is already creating change and its ambition to grow, a core tenet in our philosophy in how we approach the sport and wider ESG initiatives to deliver meaningful impact.”
The funding will help them recover more surplus food, work with 400 additional donors and rescue millions of meals from being wasted.
Later in the season, F1 fans will have the chance to cast their vote on their favourite initiatives, as part of Allwyn’s plan to bring them close to the programme.

Voters will able to recognise the impact of the winning initiatives and express their support as they more about the NGOs incredible work as well as how they’re supporting local communities.
In Montreal, redistributing high quality, nutritious meals to those in need is a priority for La Tablee des Chefs. It addresses nutritious insecurity in the city and across Canada by connecting surplus food donors with local community organisations.
Jean Francois Archambault mentioned: “Having proudly worked with Formula One for a number of years, we are more dedicated than ever to increasing the distribution of high quality meals to those experiencing food insecurity across Montreal.”
This donation will boost its ability to recover even more surplus produce from other large scale summer events, work with an additional 400 recovery donors as well as inspiring other industries to engage in sustainable food recovery practices.
