McLaren strikes Global power deal: New partnership promises tech muscle and marketing firepower for 2026 push

 



McLaren Racing and Global, the UK based Media & Entertainment group. Have announced that Global have become McLaren’s official race partner and official audio race partner across Formula One (F1) as well as hypercar programmes. The activation of the partnership begins in the 2026 season onwards at selected race weekends.


Both organisations highlight shared values of performance, precision and audience reach.

Mike Gordon, Chief Commercial Officer Global said: “Partnering with McLaren Racing as Official Race Partner and Official Audio Race Partner is a brilliant opportunity to put Global Player at the heart of the action on one of the world’s biggest sporting stages.”

McLaren sees the partnership as a way to connect with fans in meaningful ways, while Global views it as as opportunity to place Global Player “at the heart of the action” on one of the world’s biggest sporting stages.


The news was revealed live on air as Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden along with Capital Breakfast with Jordan North, Chris Stark plus Sian Welby visiting the McLaren Technology Centre.

Matt Dennington, Co-Chief Commercial Officer McLaren Racing added: “Bringing them into some of our most iconic race environments will add real value to how we connect with audiences throughout the season.”

As part of the multi-year agreement, Global branding will feature across team radio headsets during F1 race week activity at Monaco, Silverstone and other key European races.

Gordon mentioned: “Global and McLaren share a driver for performance and precision with a share focus on entertaining and engaging audiences.”

On selected F1 race weekends, Global Player branding will feature on race team headsets worn by McLaren personnel and team drivers Lando Norris in addition to Oscar Piastri.
