Red Bull reveal 2026 dream duo: Verstappen stays, Hadjar steps up
Oracle Red Bull Racing announced their 2026 Formula One (F1) driver lineup with Yuki Tsunoda departing the race seat moving into a Red Bull test and reserve driver role. Marking the debut of Red Bull Ford Powertrains under new 2026 technical regulations with a strategic mix of experience and youth to tackle F1’s new era. The new line up takes effect from the 2026 F1 season beginning with the season launch in Detroit on the 15th of January.
Preparing for the highest biggest regulatory shake up in decades with new power unit and chassis rules.
Laurent Mekies, CEO and Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing said: “2026 will be a huge challenge for the team and for Red Bull Ford Powertrains, these are exciting times and I am looking forward to seeing what we can do together.”
Aiming to combine Verstappen’s proven success with Hadjar’s raw speed and potential.
Tsunoda remains within the Red Bull family ensuring continuity and support for the 2026 projects.
Mekies said: “On behalf of everyone at Red Bull, I thank him for what he has contributed so far and we know he will provide invaluable support to the 2026 projects moving forwards.”
Tsunoda has competed in over 100 races, first with the team now know as Visa Cash App Racing Bulls before becoming the tenth Red Bull junior graduate to race for Red Bull starting at this year’s Japanese Grand Prix.
Alongside four time World Champion Verstappen and Hadjar will form a duo set to take on a new era of F1.
Isack Hadjar, 2026 Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula One Driver said: “I feel ready to go Oracle Red Bull Racing and I am happy and proud they feel the same.”
Hadjar, only turned 21 in September has been mightily impressive in his rookie F1 season with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, the highlight of his year being a podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix.
