Alpine unleashes Aron & Maini in Abu Dhabi - young guns get A525 F1 seat time
Paul Aron and Kush Maini, both are test plus reserve drivers for BWT Alpine Formula One (F1) Team. Have announced that both drivers will get seat time the A525 F1 car at Yas Marina, Aron has already competed in FP1 during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend. As for Maini, he will take part in the post season young driver test on Tuesday after the race weekend as the sessions are part of Alpine’s driver development programme giving young drivers experience in modern F1 machinery.
Providing development opportunities for Alpine’s test and reserve drivers. Strengthening Alpine’s talent and preparing drivers for potential future F1 roles.
Steve Nielsen, BWT Alpine Formula One Team Managing Director said: “The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend presents an excellent opportunity to call on our Test and Reserve drivers to allow them all important seat time in a modern Formula One car.”
Both Aron and Maini have contributed through simulator work plus Testing Previous Cars (TPC) programmes with this being a reward for their progress. Emphasising the importance of seat time in modern F1 cars for driver growth and team preparation.
