Mercedes goes Meta! AI muscle joins the team for a smarter 2026 season

 




Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team and Meta AI, the artificial intelligence division of Meta. Have announced a new official partnership that integrates Meta AI into Mercedes’ racing operations and fan engagement platforms, enhancing data analysis, personalisation as well as digital experiences. Across Mercedes’ global F1 operations, including race strategy, team co-ordination and fan facing platforms like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp plus Messenger.


Leveraging Meta AI’s data processing and personalisation tools for performance gains in addition to deeper fan engagement aligning with Mercedes’s commitment to innovation, precision as well as global reach.

Toto Wolff, CEO & Team Principal of Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team, said: “The ability to process data more efficiently and uncover deeper insights is a valuable asset in a sport where success is determined by marginal gains.”

With Meta AI joining the team, F1 fans will have powerful tools to enhance their experience both on and off the track. It’s seamlessly integrated into the Meta platforms F1 fans already use helping them engage with the sport in more meaningful ways.


Whether you’re following the action on Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, fans can use Meta AI to analyse race strategies, create and remix your race day images plus videos or revisit some of the season’s most exciting moments.

Over the past two years, the team has integrated Meta’s technology to connect the team and its fans with WhatsApp which the team relies on to collaborate, champion one another and maintain crucial real time co-ordination.


As part of this exciting chapter, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli’s race helmets will now feature the Meta AI logo prominently on top.

The new looks were first seen on the racetrack during FP1 at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, offering fans a first look at this striking symbol of partnership and shared vision.
