Da Costa joins Alpine! Endurance ace signs on for 2026 WEC charge
Antonio Felix da Costa, former Formula E champion and Le Mans podium finisher, Alpine Endurance Team competing in the FIA WEC Hypercar category. Have announced that Da Costa has signed a multi-year contract to race for Alpine in the Hypercar class joining a line up that already includes: Mick Schumacher, Nicolas Lapierre, Matthieu Vaxiviere, Charles Milesi and Paul Loup Chatin. Where he will compete in the FIA WEC, including marquee events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 6 Hours of Spa and 1000 Miles of Sebring.
The partnership begins with the 2026 WEC season with da Costa expected to participate in pre-season testing and development throughout 2025.

Alpine aims to strengthen its hypercar program with da Costa’s experience, versatility and race craft. His arrival supports Alpine’s ambition to challenge for podiums and victories as the WEC grid grows increasingly competitive.
Known for his natural speed, versatility and strength of character, the Portuguese driver has established himself as one of the most complete talents of his generation in addition to bringing his wealth of experience to the team on a multi-year contract.
Nicolas Lapierre, Sporting Director Alpine Endurance Team, said: “His track record in multiple categories speaks for itself, we know he will bring a lot to the team, both in sporting terms and on a personal level.”
A Formula Renault graduate, Da Costa has excelled at every level of single seater racing with his performances earning him several Formula One test drives. Two time winner of the Macau Grand Prix, the Cascals native has also shone in DTM and GT racing demonstrating a rare ability to adapt to extremely competitive grids.
Da Costa is already well versed in the world of endurance racing having competed in several FIA WEC campaigns. After making his debut in LMGTE Pro, he moved up to the LMP2 category, winning the category title and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2022.

Building on this success, the Portuguese driver moved on to the hypercar category and contributed to his squad’s FIA World Cup for Hypercar Teams victory.
