Gasly goes all in! Alpine locks down star driver with long-term deal

BWT Alpine Formula One (F1) Team and Pierre Gasly have announced today (6th of September) that Gasly has signed a multi-year contract extension committing his long-term future to Alpine in F1. Reinforcing Alpine’s stability and continuity as it builds toward future competitiveness. Gasly’s experience, leadership and technical feedback are seen as key assets in the team’s long-term development strategy.


Confirmed during the Italian Grand Prix weekend, the exact duration of the new deal has been disclosed till 2028.

Pierre Gasly, BWT Alpine Formula One Team Driver, said: “I’m thrilled to commit my long-term future to Alpine. As a Frenchman, especially, driving for a French car company, makes me feel very proud.”

Reaffirms Pierre’s commitment to Alpine and cements Alpine’s belief in Pierre as the driver to lead the team into the new regulation era in 2026.


The extended contract will take Pierre through six seasons with the team which he joined ahead of the 2023 F1 season.

Gasly, said: “Since I joined in 2023, I have always felt that this team is the right place to be for the future.”

Achieved two podiums so far with the team at the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix and 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix, playing a key role in helping the team achieve sixth place in the Constructor’s Championship last season.
